Emergency Dentistryin Charlotte, NC

Emergency dentistry in Charlotte is for severe tooth pain, a dental abscess, facial swelling, or a broken tooth. Call (980) 350-7456 and we will triage what can be seen on Tryon Street versus what needs drainage, antibiotics, or extraction first; patients have been worked in the same day for urgent issues, and we will say so if a slot is not there.

On this treatment

Root canal has a reputation that mostly predates modern anesthesia and microscope-guided technique — the actual appointment is closer to an extended filling than the ordeal people remember. Our endodontist performs every root canal at Pearl. Dentistry Reimagined - Tryon Street in-house, under a surgical microscope, so nothing about the canal system is left to guesswork. Most patients drive themselves to the appointment and are back at their desk the same afternoon.

I · The particulars

What emergency dentistry includes

  • Performed in-house by a specialist endodontist, not a referral
  • Microscope-guided precision on every canal
  • Modern anesthesia calibrated for a genuinely numb, calm visit
  • Most patients return to work the same afternoon
  • A crown or filling placed after to protect the treated tooth
  • A follow-up call the next morning to check on you

II · The method

How the treatment proceeds

  1. Emergency or scheduled consultation

Same-day slots are held for acute pain; non-urgent cases are scheduled within the week.

  2. Microscope-guided treatment

Our endodontist cleans and seals the canal system under magnification, with modern anesthesia throughout.

  3. Protective crown or filling

The treated tooth is restored the same visit or shortly after, so it can handle normal biting force again.

  4. Next-day follow-up call

A call the following morning checks how you are healing and answers any aftercare questions.

IV · Questions

On emergency dentistry

Are implants and root canals done in your office?

Yes. Our board-certified prosthodontist plans and restores implants in-house, and our endodontist performs microscope-guided root canal therapy on site. You keep one care team, one record, and one bill — no cross-town referrals.

I have serious dental anxiety. How do you handle that?

Gently and without judgment. We offer nitrous oxide, noise-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets, and extended appointment times, and we follow a strict raise-your-hand-and-we-stop rule. Many of our longest-standing patients arrived after a decade of avoiding dentists entirely.

What does a first visit cost?

Your first consultation and digital smile scan are free. A comprehensive new-patient exam with full digital X-rays and cleaning is without insurance, and every fee for any recommended treatment is quoted in writing before you commit to anything.
